Overcoming Your Fear of Flying!For those who experience anxiety about air travel. Even experienced flyers sometimes feel anxiety about flight. It has been estimated that about one-sixth of the population fears aviation. Overcoming Your Fear of Flying offers education and skill building for frequent flyers as well as those who are considering taking their first flight. About the Instructor The instructor of Overcoming Your Fear of Flying is Dr. Michael P. Tomaro, a Milwaukee Aviation Psychologist and Certified Flight Instructor.

The Next Session The next session of Overcoming Your Fear of Flying will be offered in February 2013. Classes will take place on February 2, 9, 16 and 23, 2013. Classes run on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the Sijan Conference Room (located inside the Mitchell Gallery of Flight Museum) at General Mitchell International Airport. The fee of $250 includes three classroom sessions on the ground and one session on board a commercial aircraft during a short flight. Reservations are required. Airport Tours(Limited Availablity) Educational, Informative and Fun! Self-guided tours of Milwaukee County's General Mitchell International Airport can be tailored to the age level and interests of each individual group. We can help you design a one hour tour that will be the most interesting and educational for your group! A free DVD tour of the Airport with an emphasis on careers in aviation is available for classroom viewing. Groups may visit the exhibits in the Mitchell Gallery of Flight aviation history museum and watch activity on the airfield from the windows of the fifth floor skywalk or Concourse C corridor. Meals for your group may be purchased at the restaurants located in the airport's main terminal. For more information on dining options, click here.
