Walker Welcomes Chili’s Too! To Mitchell Airport

September 21, 2009

New dining option now open on Concourse C

MILWAUKEE (September 21, 2009) - Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker announced that Chili’s Too! restaurant and bar is now open on Concourse C at Milwaukee County’s General Mitchell International Airport. Walker said, “We are pleased to welcome Chili’s Too! as we begin revamping the food and beverage line-up at the airport. Passengers can dine-in before their trip or pick up a to-go meal to take on their flight.”

While passengers taking a flight from any concourse can enjoy Chili’s Too! simply by presenting their same-day boarding pass and ID at the Concourse C security checkpoint, Walker noted that the new cities and flights added by AirTran Airways means there are many more passengers looking for food and beverage options on Concourse C. Other airlines serving Concourse C are Air Canada, American Eagle, United Express and US Airways Express.

The Chili’s Too! menu features creative southwestern flavors of hot grilled favorites, fresh salads, or Big Mouth Burgers, plus Chili’s well-known specialty drinks such as the Margarita Presidente. Chili’s Too! is a brand offered by HMSHost Corporation, a world leader in dining and shopping in travel venues. Chili’s Too! is an extension of one of the world’s best known casual dining brands – Chili’s Grill and Bar – that has been tailored specifically for travelers on-the-go.

HMSHost-s Vice President Joe Waller said, “The MKE Chili’s Too! casual dining environment has a little something for everyone from popular Chili’s entrees to favorite bar selections. Our Chili’s Too! energy is so appealing that you get a sense of it from the moment you walk into the restaurant and are met by the enthusiastic staff and the creative decor.”

Mitchell International served nearly eight million passengers in 2008, one of few airports that showed passenger growth for the year. In addition to AirTran’s growth at Mitchell, significant air service additions have been initiated by Midwest and Delta Airlines. Southwest Airlines will begin service to Mitchell International on November 1.
