Akron Canton Airport Revs its Engine for New Service to MKE!

January 14, 2010

If it’s true that birds of a feather flock together, then Akron Canton Airport CAK_to_MKE_on_AirTran(CAK), (also an alternative airport for travel to Cleveland, Ohio), can be our co-pilot any day! CAK celebrated AirTran Airways’ new, three daily nonstop flights from CAK to Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport (MKE) with a Harley-Davidson-themed launch. Marking the inaugural flight to Milwaukee on January 5, CAK staff and airport passengers donned leather vests and celebrated around a Harley Davidson motorcycle parked in the terminal. “This opens Northern Chicago to our passengers,” said Rick McQueen, president and CEO of Akron Canton Airport. “We are delighted to work in close partnership with SkyWest and AirTran Airways to launch new service to Milwaukee. The new flights provide important new options, low fares and excellent access to the Northern Chicago region.”
