Carrier’s First International Destination from Milwaukee Hub
DENVER (May 18, 2010) - Frontier Airlines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: RJET), today announced it will launch new seasonal nonstop service between its Milwaukee hub and Cancun, Mexico beginning Dec. 18, 2010. The carrier will operate two weekly roundtrip flights through May 1, 2011, with a third flight operating Feb. 1 – April 15, 2011. This service follows Frontier’s recent 17-market expansion, making it the fastest-growing major carrier in the United States.
“We are thrilled to provide the Milwaukee community with nonstop scheduled service to Cancun,” said Daniel Shurz, VP of strategy and planning. “This is a period of substantial growth for Frontier and we are excited to add an exciting new nonstop destination out of our Milwaukee hub.”
Frontier will operate this route with Airbus A319 aircraft, outfitted with all-leather seating, four rows of STRETCH seating and DIRECTV service in every seatback. Fares for this new route are available for purchase on FrontierAirlines.com. The route remains subject to government approval.
