Mitchell ranked 34th in number of nonstop markets served

Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport just keeps slicing its passengers a bigger piece of the destination pie, thanks to recent additions or expanded service from Northwest Airlines, Midwest Airlines, AirTran Airways, Delta Connection and Frontier Airlines.

A new ranking based on Official Airline Guides (OAG) schedule data shows that, with 51 markets, Mitchell ranks 34th among U.S. airports in number of nonstop markets served. This ranking means that more nonstop markets are served out of Mitchell than out of other Midwestern cities, such as Nashville, Kansas City, Indianapolis and Columbus, and out of medium-sized cities elsewhere in the 
United States, including Portland, Ore., New Orleans, San Diego, Raleigh/Durham, Albuquerque and Hartford, Conn.
